Ramadan Mubarak!

Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, begins today and will end on or about September 10, 2010. I'm taking this time off from blogging to focus on observance and family gatherings. I'll be back after the sighting of the Eid moon. Until then, Ramadan Mubarak to the 1.5 billion humans celebrating this holy month. May G_d bless every precious living being on our glorious planet!

  7. Eisenherz,

I have to admit - the red hair does look attractive! But I'll have to wait until after Ramadan to see those awesome new hooker boots you got from Heather. I trust you'll make it worth the wait :). Be well!

  17. Angie,

Your birthday will likely be the Muslim holiday of Eid this year (pending a moon sighting, of course). If so, you'll have 1.5 billion of your fellow humans celebrating that day with you; pretty cool! Since I'll be off blogs till then, I'll wish you an early "HAPPY B-DAY!"

  18. Thanks, Cruella! You've lived in a few different countries in your time, so I'm not surprised that you have an open mind and interest in other cultures. Well, like all Mughal Family celebrations, we do it with lots and lots of great food (after the sun goes down and it's OK to eat:)). I'd be happy to share other details of the religious celebration when I get back. Hoping all is well in Oslo, Norway,

  19. Dear Lynda,

Thank you! I know that your greatest passion is Christ, yet you encourage others in their faith. From what I know about Jesus, I believe he would be proud of how you express his teachings in your life through your behaviors of open-minded kindness.

I hope that you have a great month "down under" in Sydney, Australia. G_d bless you.
